Andrew has a working career that has been spent heavily involved in the New Zealand Crop Protection sector.  After studying horticulture at Massey University, Andrew became involved in horticulture retail businesses within the Franklin region.  Career advancement beckoned in Crop Protection as a territory sales manager for Crop Care that saw Andrew manage regions in both North and South Islands. The last 19 years have been spent working in a variety of commercial roles for Zelam a New Zealand Crop & Wood Protection business. Andrew was instrumental in the acquisition of Zelam by Lonza, a Swiss multinational involved in the global specialty chemicals market.   With Lonza, Andrew worked as the Oceania Regional Manager before taking on the role of Global Head of Crop Protection, managing  the Lonza business and teams around the world.

Andrew brings a background and experience in global crop protection that will support Agrisource as it continues to develop a unique and value add portfolio for local growers and farmers.  Through strong customer and supplier relationships, both at a local and global level, along with an experience and passion in product development and research, Andrew looks forward to supporting the growth journey of Agrisource.

Outside of work, Andrew continues to follow his passion in rugby.  After playing first class rugby for Counties, and other representative rugby for Manawatu, Canterbury and Ulster in Ireland, Andrew has supported his three teenage boys through their own rugby via coaching and administration at club level where he is currently living in Taranaki.  Andrew has been a board member of the Taranaki Rugby Union since 2015 and is the current Chairman.

Other interests include the family partnership in a King Country Sheep & Beef farming business, fishing both the east and west coasts along with chasing a ball around the local golf course.
