Michael has been with Agrisource since 2008 when he started as Business Manager. In 2017 he became the Managing Director and has recently moved into a Operations and Supply Chain focused role.
Although starting his working life in the automotive industry, Michael has been a part of the Horticultural sector for over 20 years. Beginning with roles as a Packhouse Manager, then Produce Buyer with a Pukekohe Onion Grower/Exporter.
In 2002 he became involved in Crop Protection when he took an opportunity to join Veg-Gro Supplies as the Pukekohe branch manager. In 2006 Veg-Gro Supplies restructured and rebranded becoming Horticentre, a significant national horticultural retailer. At that point he became the companies Procurement Manager for Crop Protection Products and representative to the ICD Group (Independent Crop Care Distributors), later becoming a Director of the group.
Michaels current role as Operations Manager sees him involved in all the day to day facets of running the Agrisource business - Procurement, Sales, Logistics and Finance.
Michael was born and raised in Hawkes Bay but has called Pukekohe/Franklin home for over 30 years, where he enjoys being part of a wonderful community in the vegetable growing heartland of New Zealand.
He enjoys giving back to the local community and has for many years volunteered his spare time in coaching, management or committee roles with local sports clubs and teams.
He is a past board member of the local Intermediate school and is currently active as a committee member of the Mind Health Project, a group dedicated to the mind health of local young people.
Outside of work Michael loves to spend time with his wife Tanya, family and friends, mountain biking, golfing, keeping fit and keeping up with their two teenage boys!
