Business Development & Marketing Manager
With over 20 years of experience in the crop protection sector, Darren is Business Development and Marketing Manager for Agrisource.
He is passionate about New Zealand agriculture and began his career in 1991, working in the kiwifruit sector in South Auckland.
Darrens involvement in crop protection began when he worked in rural retail as technical field sales with Fruitfed Supplies. Based at Fruitfed’s Pukekohe office his focus was primarily top fruit – kiwifruit, avocado and winegrapes. He has held roles in territory sales management with Key Industries, Key Account Management with Bayer CropScience, Marketing and Business Development roles with Etec Crop Solutions (formerly Elliott-Technologies) and Arysta LifeScience. He was National Sales Manager for UPL .
Darren is primarily responsible for discovering and developing growth opportunities for Agrisource. He oversees the Agrisource research and development program working with external research providers and regulatory consultants. He contributes across many facets of the Agrisource business, working with local and international suppliers and supporting Agrisource customers.
Born and raised in South Auckland, Darren has a Diploma in horticulture and Bachelor’s degree in Applied Science. Both from Massey University.
When he is not working he makes keeping active a priority. Whether its cycling, practicing yoga or in the ocean.
