Getting the maximum out of Mollumax
Implement regular monitoring of slug and snail populations to accurately quantify population density within paddocks. This monitoring provides a critical baseline for assessing potential crop damage and determining the need for control measures.
Paddock cropping history should be carefully considered, as it significantly influences pest pressure. Effective weed control and stubble management—through practices such as burning, rolling, or slashing—are essential, as high levels of surface residue create favourable habitat for slug survival and reproduction.
Slug activity, survival, and development are strongly influenced by soil moisture and prevailing climatic conditions. Weather patterns at sowing and during the subsequent eight weeks should be closely monitored, as drilling under wet conditions can significantly increase slug activity and population establishment.
Under high pest pressure scenarios, be prepared to implement follow-up applications of Mollumax in accordance with label recommendations
